Nonprofit legal aid agency working with IMMIGRANTS--as well as entrepreneurs and BUSINESSES--to build stronger and healthier communities: Handling visas, green cards, permanent residency, citizenship, naturalization, deportation, removal, incorporation, mergers, M&A, divorce, child custody, domestic violence, domestic abuse, etc. in Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Romanian, Polish, etc.

Through its services, BENNU "Supports American Dreams" by providing legal aid to newcomers to the US and their families in the area of immigration law, as well as legal support to small businesses.

BENNU provides legal assistance to individuals, families, and small-business entrepreneurs on a sliding-fee scale, often on a ???low bono??? basis.

Immigration law is federal law, so our program participants may come from all over the United States.

Hours:

M-F, 8 AM-6 PM; Saturday 9 AM-4 PM

Intake Process:

(1) CONTACT Berenice Uribe (847)-479-8200 or buribe@bennulegal.org for initial screening and scheduling of FREE, CONFIDENTIAL consultation.

(2) To consultation, bring 2-3 years of most recent tax returns, as well as ALL documents available regarding immigration or other legal matter (including any criminal incidents).

(3) Entry into Representation Letter and payment of quoted initial retainer to formalize attorney-client relationship.

Program Fees:

VARIES, depending upon household size and income, as well as complexity of case.

Sliding-scale fee structure, sometimes pro-bono and often low-bono.

Eligibility:

NO RESTRICTIONS... but such aspects as availability of legal remedies, capacity of organization, etc. may impact ability to take a particular case.
